Laura Peterson
Laura Peterson's work has been produced throughout NYC as well as, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Germany, and Argentina. Her dances have been performed at Jacob's Pillow and Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors. Laura has created pieces for the Hartford Ballet and the Pennsylvania Ballet and has been a recipient of a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Choreography Fellowship, PIAIS Grant (Philadelphia), and a 2003 Union Street Dance Space Grant. She has served as Assistant Choreographer at Kannon Dance in St. Petersburg, Russia. Laura performed with Risa Jaraslow & Dancers, Paule Turner (court), Group Motion Dance Co., Alice Farley Dance Theater, Poppo and the GoGo Boys, Asimina Chremos and many others. She holds an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Laura is currently an adjunct professor at Western Connecticut State University. Her dance company Laura Peterson/choreography performs often throughout New York and other U.S. cities. The 2004 season, Hocus Pocus, played to sold-out audiences at Joyce SoHo this January.
