Dear Friend of Rotate Dance,
Rotate Dance, directed by Eryc Taylor and Romy Reading, is a dance theater collective dedicated to the creation and presentation of innovative choreographic works in New York City and beyond. Rotate Dance creates original choreographic works, in addition to presenting and producing original works of a wide variety of New York based artists.
On August 26th and 27th, 2005, Rotate Dance will produce the second annual season of "Dance Martha Dance!", a Martha's Vineyard festival featuring New York based choreographers. A week long series of movement workshops will be offered to the community as well. The festival's aim is to broaden and enrich the vibrant arts community of Martha's Vineyard while working to expand the current audience base of New York City's contemporary dance world.
In order to see this project to fruition we are asking for support from anyone who believes in the value of establishing solid cultural and artistic programs in communities beyond New York City. Donations of any size will contribute to our goal of self-producing this year's inaugural festival. In addition, we wish to compensate artists for their highly valued work. This can only be done with support from patrons like yourself.
